You give us access by inviting us as users inside your accounting software. You choose our permission level, we log in with our own account and two‑factor authentication, and you can remove access anytime.

Use your phone or email; take a photo of a receipt in your accounting software’s mobile app (or our recommended capture app), or forward supplier PDFs to your software’s unique “bills” email address.

For most small businesses, cloud accounting is strongly recommended. It supports Making Tax Digital (MTD) where applicable and provides real‑time data you can act on.
However, if you’re a sole trader with very low transaction volume and a simple setup, it isn’t strictly necessary
